Apple has finally begun handing out the next-generation iOS 16 software update to iPhone customers worldwide. iOS 16, which was revealed at WWDC 2022, has a new customizable lock screen, better Focus mode, new iMessage capabilities, and more. Examine the specifics.

iOS 16 Software Update Now Available
On the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS series, iPhone 11 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, and the new iPhone 14 series, the iOS 16 software update is now accessible for download. The size of the iOS 16 software upgrade is 3.11GB.
It introduces a slew of new features. Aside from personalized lock screens and an enhanced Focus mode, you’ll receive an updated Mail app, Passkeys in Safari, Live text in films, and more changes to the Camera and Photos applications, as well as new Health app upgrades.
Later this year, features like iCloud Shared Photo Library and Matter support will be available. Also revealed later in the coming year are the vehicles that work with the new CarPlay. You have the option to skip iOS 16 and instead download the iOS 15.7 upgrade, which is currently available if you don’t want to.
Gets Google App Widgets on Lock Screen
Google has announced that users will soon be able to add Search, Chrome, Gmail, News, Google Maps, and Drive app widgets on the iOS 16 Lock Screen to instantly access them and get alerts. The new Google app widgets will be available for iOS 16 in the coming weeks.
The Google Maps widget will enable you to receive real-time traffic warnings, ETAs, and more directly on the lock screen while the Search widget will make it simple to do an online search using voice, the camera, or even both. For searching, use the Chrome widget.
Gmail will display the number of emails received, Drive will provide access to files and folders, and the Google News widget will display real-time headlines. There is no Google Calendar widget yet! Apple will launch the Clean Energy Charging feature for the US to optimize charging times for lower carbon impact, the iCloud Shared Photo Library for simple photo sharing, Live Activities, and more.
