Finally, the Oppo FIND N2 Flip phone has launched in the market of India after being globally introduced in December. It is India’s first smartphone which is powered by Dimensity 9000+ SoC. Also, the company has promised 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security patch updates for the phone. Design of Oppo Find N2 Flip

Let’s talk about its design. The metal body of this phone is simply amazing. With a polished aluminium side, this phone looks cool. On the right side power button is placed with volume rockers along with a built-in fingerprint scanner.

On the bottom dual SIM slot, USB Type-C port, primary microphone and loudspeaker grill are present. It weighs just 192 grams and the breadth is 7.45mm when unfolded and 16.02mm when folded. The look of this phone is very good.

Main Display

This phone comes with a 6.8-inch E6 Full HD+ (2520×1080 Pixels) AMOLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Oppo FIND N2 flip offers up to 1600 units of brightness.

This has UTG glass protection. Due to having an LTPO panel, it offers a 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate. It has 100% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB colour gamut, so the colours are very vibrant.

This phone support HDR. So, you can enable Bright HDR video from display settings and the colours will increase when playing HDR videos. HDR videos only work for YouTube and Netflix. On the other hand, it doesn’t have a notification LED.

Outer Display

OPPO FIND N2 FLIP has the largest secondary screen on a flip phone. The outer display is a 3.26-inch (720×382 pixels) AMOLED display with a 30/60 Hz refresh rate. This phone also has a 17:9 aspect ratio with 250 PPI. Brightness can increase up to 900 nits. The best part is, it comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. You can see up to six notifications and can also use all messaging apps using built-in and customised phrases.

Folding Technology of Oppo Find N2 Flip

OPPO’S new Flexion Hinge does a marvellous job. This folding technology is offering you an almost crease-free, no-gap clear look. N2 Flip can hold its mid-fold between 45° and 110°. Compared to the U-shaped hinge, the Find N2 Flip gives a lighter crease and lesser screen deformation because this phone uses a new “Waterdrop fold.”

According to OPPO you can fold and unfold this phone up to 4,000,000. It is tested by TUV Rheinland. The company says that you can use this phone for more than 10 years if you open and close the device 100 times a day.

Oppo Find N2 Flip Phone Camera Features

Oppo Find N2 Flip has a dual rear camera set-up. The primary rear camera is 50MP (primary wide-angle) with f/1.8 aperture and a Sony IMX890 sensor. The other one is 8MP (112° ultra-wide) with an f/2.2 aperture and a Sony IMX355 sensor. In the front, you will get a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture, and an RGBW Sony IMX709 sensor.

Hasselblad provides Pro mode, Panorama, Macro, Time Lapse, Slo-mo, Text Scanner and Xpan. Also, image processing is very fast, which we appreciate. Images were well exposed, with a wide dynamic range, good shadow development and well-contained highlights. The colours are nicely saturated and there are no problems with white balance.

You can also record videos up to 4K 30fps. Thanks to MariSilicon X NPU, you can get very good quality images in low light and you can also record 4K videos in low light.

Software (OS & UI) and RAM & Storage

This phone comes with Android 13 out of the box based on ColorOS 13. And, Oppo has promised to give you 4 years of major Android Updates and 5 years of security patch updates. The phone has only one variant.

Oppo Find N2 Flip has 8GB of LPDD5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. There is also a RAM expansion feature available for up to 8GB. You can expand storage, as there’s no storage expansion feature.

Performance of Oppo Find N2 Flip

The performance of this phone is awesome. Especially the large cover screen is very useful. Anyone can send basic replies to messages, view notifications, and access basic phone features. In the case of clicking pictures, this large cover screen does a great job. However, the screen has more potential. We hope in future updates oppo will use its all potential.

Probably you would not fill any performance difference because Android 13 runs very smoothly on Find N2 Flip. You can play games like BGMI, and COD in high settings, without any problem due to the Dimensity 9000 SoC. The processor is powerful enough to play heavy games and easily handle daily tasks. Also, the performance of the battery is very satisfactory.

Videos will look very great on the Oppo Find N2 Flip. You can stream HDR videos on Netflix and YouTube also. Due to the extra-wide aspect ratio of the folding display black bars are present on the left and right sides in most of the videos. The sound quality of this phone is also commendable.  The fingerprint sensor and face recognition are very quick.

Connectivity

The connectivity features you can see here are 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, 360° NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS + GLONASS. It also has dual 4G VoLTE. It also has USB OTG support.

Battery & Charging

The phone packs a 4300mAh battery, bigger than most flip phones on the market. It can easily last for a day with heavy use and more than a day with typical use with 5G enabled and multimedia.

Although there’s an 80W SuperVOOC charger in the box, the phone supports 44W SuperVOOC fast charging. It can charge up to 50% in about 25 minutes and up to 100% takes an hour. It doesn’t support wireless charging.
