Looks and Design of Jio Phone Next
Jio Phone Next is an entry-level budget smartphone. It comes with a plastic removable back. It seems that I an back 5 to 6 years ago in the time. It has a 5.45-inch touchscreen IPS LCD HD+ display of 720×1440 pixels resolution. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 3. With an aspect ratio of 18:9, it offers 295 PPI and a 60Hz refresh rate.
Let’s talk about ports and buttons on the phone. You will find the power on-off button and volume up-down buttons on the right-hand side. At the bottom, you will get a charging port and speaker. And a 3.5mm headphone jack is at the top. With the battery, the weight of the phone is 170gm.
The Jio Phone Next is powered by a 3500mAh battery with a 7.5-watt charger. It provides a USB Type-B cable to charge the phone.
Hardware and Software
Jio Phone Next is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm 215 processor that is launched in 2019. It is a 28nm fabrication based processor, so heavy usage may discharge your phone quickly. It runs on Pragati OS which is a merger between Android Go and Jio Customisations. It is based on Android 11 OS with a September security patch update.
It has only one variant i.e. 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 512GB by using a microSD card. It offers LPDDR3 type RAM with EMMC4.5 type storage. So, the user experience will be sluggish. Jio Phone Next provide the Google’s Call App and Messaging App of Jio.
Camera
The Jio Phone Next delivers a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. There is a LED flash in the back.
In terms of camera features, Jio Phone Next provides Digital Zoom, HDR mode, Portrait mode, Night Mode, and Snapchat filters. You can record 30fps full HD video with both the back and front camera.

Connectivity and Sensors
The Jio Phone Next support dual Nano-SIM cards. It supports 4G with Band 40 by some LTE networks and 3G connection. But, you should use a Jio SIM in slot 1 and have to use an internet connection from that Jio SIM. Other SIMs are not acceptable to access internet connection.
In terms of other connectivity, the Jio Phone Next provides Bluetooth v4.10, 2.4 GHz single-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and Micro-USB. And, it delivers sensors like an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. There is no fingerprint sensor. And, no Face Unlock.
Price and Plans
Jio Phone Next will be available for Rs. 1,999 only when you will purchase an 18-months or 24-months Jio recharge plan with it. Also, a processing price of Rs. 501 will be charged while purchasing.
Suppose, you purchase the phone at Rs. 1,999 along with the recharge plan. If you do not pay the recharge amount, your phone may be switched off. Otherwise, it will cost Rs. 6,499, if you purchase it regularly.
